Royal Academy audition successful

May 14, 2019

One of our talented Year 11 musicians has auditioned successfully for a place at the Royal Academy of Music’s Junior Academy, which offers a unique opportunity to talented and committed young musicians.  In her audition, she played two contrasting pieces on the clarinet, including the first movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto; she also sang, and submitted a composition. This exciting new venture will begin in September, and will consist of individual clarinet and voice tuition, composition and musicianship classes, choral and orchestral rehearsals, and opportunities for performing in workshops, masterclasses and competitions. The Royal Academy of Music is highly competitive and selective, with young applicants from all over the world, so this is a fabulous achievement, and we are very proud of her.
