Organic garden flourishingOctober 11, 2019
The school garden has featured on the Missions page of the Roots and Shoots website this week. The garden has become quite self-sufficient, with younger girls being trained by older girls in the management and care of plants such as crab apples, sloes, elderflower and rosehips. The Food Technology Department makes use of our organic produce, recently making rhubarb cordial which has been sold for charity. The Art and Photography Department also use it to teach about botanical illustrations. The girls are proud of their garden, and have discovered how gardening can improve both your health and your environment.
