Mary Ward

Life in Mary Ward is very different to the rest of the school, as it offers more independence as well as more responsibilities. The initial difference is getting used to living in a house and having a kitchen and sitting room which you have to share with only nine other people. You are allowed to cook your own supper, being as adventurous or apprehensive as you like about it. Being allowed out later at weekends is always welcome as is being relieved of house duties, although we still take part in supervising the younger years during study. Being slightly separate from the main school makes us more independent and prepares us for when we leave at the end of the year.
