St Mary's allows girls to flourish in a single-sex environment where they make lifelong friendships with other girls, and where they learn to lead without unfair competition or distraction from boys. Girls serve at the altar, they become school prefects, they run societies and they compete at top levels in sport. We are fully committed to giving each girl every opportunity to succeed in whatever she may wish to do. We have many links with boys' schools so that the girls learn to interact, work with and have fun with boys, but we believe that from 11 - 18 girls learn and thrive best in single-sex classrooms and single-sex boarding.
