Request for accommodation for AOG friend
A 19 year old friend of an AOG is coming to England to work at Christies for 6 months. She is looking for a family to stay with during the whole of July. Her English is already quite good and she just wants the opportunity to live with a family to improve her English before she starts at Christies.

She likes horses and wants to be in the country, and she also like children. She would be prepared to help out and fit in with family life. If anyone wants to offer her a place to stay over the summer, in the first instance could they contact the AOGA Secretary who will pass on the details.

Book on Catholic Church Architecture
A Glimpse of Heaven: Catholic churches of England and Wales was published just before Christmas 2006 and is the first very readable - and beautifully illustrated - summary of the expansion of the Catholic Church in this country after the first Catholic Relief Act in 1791 (when it became possible to start building chapels again), through Emancipation and up until the present day.

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor has written the Foreword and the book is a joint production of English Heritage and the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.
